Teijin Frontier to Exhibit Again at Functional Fabric Fair 2026 Spring
We are pleased to announce that Teijin Frontier will once again exhibit at Functional Fabric Fair 2026 Spring, one of North America’s premier sourcing events for high-performance textiles and sustainable innovations.
At this year’s exhibition, we will showcase our advanced material portfolio, with a particular focus on Octa®, our next-generation functional materials.

■ Featured Material: Octa®
Octa® is engineered with a unique cross-sectional structure featuring eight protrusions—resembling an octopus—combined with a hollow core that creates air pockets within the fiber. This innovative design delivers excellent thermal insulation while maintaining exceptional lightweight performance.
In addition, Octa® offers multiple functional benefits, including breathability and quick-drying properties. These characteristics make it highly suitable for a wide range of applications such as activewear, outdoor apparel, and layering systems.
Its well-balanced combination of insulation and ventilation ensures comfort across diverse environments, meeting the needs of both performance sports and everyday use.
■ Related Technologies: OCTAIR™ and THERMOFRONT™ OA
We will also introduce high-performance insulation materials utilizing Octa® technology: OCTAIR™ (blow-in insulation type) and THERMOFRONT™ OA (sheet-type insulation).
These insulation materials incorporate Octa® yarns, forming air layers both inside and around the fiber cross-section. This structure provides excellent warmth while preserving lightweight characteristics.
Furthermore, both materials are made with recycled polyester, contributing to sustainability. They are ideal for outerwear and applications designed for cold environments.
