Teijin Frontier to Exhibit at CAMX 2024 -the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo-

New York,  NY – Teijin Frontier will participate in the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX), the largest, most comprehensive composites and advanced materials event in North America, in San Diego Convention Center  from September 10 to 12. CAMX brings all aspects of the world’s composites and advanced materials communities together for one all-encompassing event.

Teijin Frontier is partnering with customers across diverse industries, ranging from athletic apparel, outdoor, automotive, and infrastructure. Through our advanced textile manufacturing expertise, we are delivering solutions that improve the lives of people worldwide.

At CAMX, Teijin Frontier will exhibit advanced composite materials using PBO fiber ZYLON® in collaboration with Toyobo MC at Booth LL50.

ZYLON® (PBO fiber) is the next generation super fiber with strength and modulus almost double that of p-Aramid fiber. ZYLON® shows a decomposition temperature 100°C higher than p-Aramid fiber. The limiting oxygen index is 68, which is the highest among organic super fibers.

Another item we will display is called IZANAS®, which is yarn made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. It has the highest level of strength and modulus as an organic fiber (it is about 8 times stronger than piano wire of the same weight). IZANAS® rope with only 10mm in diameter can support up to 20 tons (theoretical value).

At the Teijin Frontier booth (LL50), visitors can explore innovative composite solutions and learn about the comprehensive technical support and provided services.
